Lots of people these days feel that things will just fall on their lap despite them looking around and seeing people struggle to do so much in order to achieve what they have. If we look around us maybe the kind of things the poor are going through, and when i am saying poor I mean the real real poor ones who can’t afford to eat twice a day or feed their children so they are healthy and fit.
When the rich get richer the balancing equation makes the poor go even poorer. But what is that makes the world go around. Is it money, is it love or is it time that you give to someone. I guess if we go for time then we can manage to get all the other things in the whole equation.
Giving someone your valuable time is more valuable than money, and when you give them time your love has to be in it too, in order for you to really make them feel special. And when I am talking about giving time I am talking about taking out time for the less unfortunate who might need your help, or probably just some work to feed their family. There might be lots of things around your place, if you are in Pakistan or India you might have seen the kind of poverty in various places, its quite obvious that the balance of money and food isn’t doing justice to the people. So many starve to death while others bloat their fat tummies like there is no tommorow.
But what in your view is a poor person, the one without money and lots of love or the one without love and lots of money? How can we end poverty in this world? What will it take in order to make sure that not all but atleast a big percentage of people in this world get food on their table.
Sad but so true.. that when we are eating our well cooked meals there are kids in this world who are hunting for food in garbage. I remember a few times in Pakistan I would get my car out and with my bros fill the boot of the car with lots of warm food to give to the poor few families a few miles away. The feeling you go through when you see their faces light up, is absolutely priceless. So how much does it take for any of us to realize it before we also enter the grave that we are no different than them.
The only difference is that some of us might have extra cash to buy one or two coke bottles everyday while a father somewhere is committing suicide because he can’t afford milk for his child.
Do enter your views on this, what is it that we can do to at least do our bit?

Thanx for writing this one Wakas, hmmmm something that really needs our attention… In the race of this world one unfortunately ppl think only abt themselves and on that they believe that thats what life is all about, If they are granted we so much that this is their right and they are blessed, oki lets say its so…But thats the half truth and definitely not the true purpose of life, yes for good and well living one should and has to work hard to achieve what they wants in Life…. But the fact is that one will never be having a peaceful heart and mind, and neither will they have a peaceful sleep if they dont share what they are blessed with na, they will pretend to be happy and that they are satisfied with their lives and way of living, thinking abt only and only their own lives and closing their eyes from the world and those less fortunate, but they wont succeed in that :) thats just the way Allah has made the world, I don’t believe and cant believe that any1 can see someone in need and and has the facility to help them and dont do so and still are happy with themselves and loving their lives, the thing is that one need to just open the eyes there are plenty of alternatives to reach out, saying that one don’t now how to start and how to help those in need is nothing but some lame excuses!
Just a single thought is needed to get these good deeds in action,and that is “what if it was us who are in need?!” Allah can do anything and may he help us all he has his ways of letting us know that we after all are human beings, and he our creator…He can very easily switch our places, then what? so we really need to wake up and start working toward our real purpouse of Life, which is nothing but helping others who really deserve attention and a helping hand from all those who are blessed with so much.
Yes true that being kind and nice, giving time to someone is also a helping hand, coz Time is very precious one sec that passes will never came back, but Where food, cloths, and other basic needs of Life are required we cant just contribute with comfort words, hugs and smiles then we need to share our meal, we need to cut down our unnecessary shopping of fav clothes and sometimes even necessary if we can survive without those things..
Anyone has to give up on something to get something right? So in the same way we need to sacrifice little bit of our luxury to achieve the true and never ending luxury after death, and not only that we will InshAllah live peacefully on this earth as well :)
To be honest sacrifice isnt a word that should be used here, coz its nothing that one should feel they are sacrificing..Its every individuals DUTY to help those who are less fortunate, get together or do it on your own, but at least do something for YOURSELF, coz helping others we are not doing them a favor, they are doing US a favor by giving us a chance to earn something that is much much more worth than anything in this world and above! InshAllah!

Very well written & thought provoking write up .To be a good human being, it means you give a lot, be it materially or with kindness .I just wish everyone took it upon themselves to make a difference in the lives of some people at least by giving whatever little they can.Not only would they be the giver of some necessity but they would also spread a little bit of happiness in the life of the depraved person.
I appreciate the thought behind writing this topic.

A wonderful topic and much needed attention as Bholibhali mentioned. There is so much of proverty in this world that only a miracle can truli eradicate it. But as said, there is a bit we can also do for the society. There are lot of organizations who do a lot and sometimes there r few organizations who eat up money as well. There are few organizations who feed as well as educate ppl.. It is such a thoughtful concept. They say each time a child attends school, he or she gets food to eat..And a good, healthy, variety based food. Wat a child and parent do is, initially think, since the child mite get food, so they send. But as they attend everyday, they learn a lot as well. Why they do this? Because they dont want the coming generation to be a beggar but atleast have a basic education and do somethin better for their themselves and their family.
You are so correct when you say that it gives u utmost satisfaction when we give food to the needy. That feelin is nothin compared to wat we have or can achieve personally for ourselves…
A lil bit of givin doesnt harm us in neway..a dollar a day save it somewhee in one box n see wat $30 a month can do to a much needed family. Not that people dun realize this..its juz ppl dun remember to take time out for others..if ppl start realizin this, if nt eradicate , we can atleast lessen the pain poor people go thru.

Sorry I can not add more than what has already been written in previous comments except that poverty is not a matter of choice but chance and those responsible for creating such circumstances leading to poverty are crimnals & should be held accountable ……rest I will request God to punish them in kind….

Poor is getting poorer just because we are not following the instructions of Islam in any aspect of our lives, that is why we are disappearing in darkness day by day, which is really very sad.
