Lots of people we come across have a tendency to lie whenever they get the chance. Sadly this is something we can’t do anything about directly, but if you are one of those that sometimes thinks that getting away with one tiny lie is ok then think again since one lie can lead to dozens more that you need to utter to support your previous lie.
There are reasons why one should not lie, but everyone has their values. I personally have the thoughts below.. do add your reasons as why one should NEVER lie!
- No one will ever trust you
This one is the saddest result of you “lying” on most occasions. If you are someone who just can’t tell the truth then you will very easily enter that hot list where no one would want to trust you. - You will feel bad
Not a lot of liars would agree at the point of lying that they are doing something bad. But in the long run they WILL suffer the consequences since a lie never ever takes them anywhere good. - You will not be like able
I have never come across a liar who is likeable. So start telling the truth, people will respect you for it. - Liars have no friends
Just an extension of the above, if one doesn’t like you how will they be your friend.. right?What you think .. how does a “lie” make its place in your daily life?

i try my best not to lie ever, though i have all guts . i rarely tell lie and by God i don’t remember when did the last time i lied? my parents always used to advise me not to do that but i never heard them. one should analyze himself that why he should tell a lie? the only thing i don’t do it because “You will feel bad” is true in my case. you never feel satisfied. truth always brigs comfort and satisfaction. i’ve never lost any thing because of truth rather i gained for which i couldn’t imagine of

Bhaijaan, shona liked what you wrote. Shona dont know why people lie but shona know this much that sometimes some people lie because the other person ish saved by some big disaster. That ish not lie actually. That ish just keeping away some truth for sometime till that sick person becomes okie.
Umm If people lie just like that for fun then sometime later God punishes them. Sho nobody should lie just like that.

I believe one should keep themselves lie-free coz its the fact that lies leads to no good at all! and I personally think that the sadest part here is that ppl we lie to will never be able to trust us again!
Truth is a beautiful thing, and a right way to live a life!

As my mom always says us “never lie coz one lie will create a chain of lies” so try to be honest with everyone…
By the way sometimes we have to lie, to save ourself…

Another reason why one should not lie: it makes it very hard to keep track of what you said to different people! If you said one lie to one person and another lie about the same thing to another person, you are likely to mess up pretty soon!
I am someone who trusts people readily, but one experience has helped me sort out the truth. On my adolescent psychiatry clerkship a few months ago, I was interviewing a teenage patient who told me her story. Later that day, her parents visited her and I asked them the same questions, but their story was completely different! Everyone believed the parents and no one believed the teenager. I was upset that I had been duped. So, I asked the psych fellow how he knew whom to trust. He said that everyone should be given a chance to tell their story, but after you listen to both sides, just ask yourself which story makes more sense, and go with that one.

Lying is a social thing now. We lie to get out of engagements, we lie to get around at work – Worst of all, we say nasty things about people behind their backs and then on their faces, we pretend to be their friend by lying to be sincere.
Our whole society is based on Munafqat and lying – Its very improbable that it can be fixed. One can only try at a personal level.
Sometimes an honest person is caught in the middle of a group of people who lie through their teeth on everything – every single thing – That person also learns to lie to save their own skin and to deal with them for self protection.
Sometimes it is not wise to blurt out the truth. So the best option is not to tell a lie, but to maintain a dignified silence.

when you lie you hurt the relation and sometimes its beyond repair to fix that. Its better to come out with honesty and tell your reason instead of a lie. The other person will have more respect for you and your credibility will be safe too.
