There are lots of great uses of the internet. Some of them are just too good to even make one think of the bad affects it has on kids. But then again the bad side of internet is the way adult related material and other evil type of things are making their way through the minds of kids. Some might say it’s something one can not stop and others might be very strict about it.
I have the internet system under my control at home, so i have placed a few blocks on anything that’s adult oriented at home so it just shows a message. “please contact your router administrator” which obviously is me, so none of them can ask ke “bro why is this blocked” etc.
But yah on a very very serious note, if you do have access to the router in your place and that too with wireless option. Then put some blocks and restrictions on it, as I have seen lots of parents put their heads in the sand like an ostrich and wonder “Wakas beta pata nahi aise waise ads kaha se ajate hein can u fix it?” .. Upto now I guess all families I know I have managed to teach them indirectly about what their kids CAN be upto. And they have all put restrictions on their routers now.
Yah I know kids in those families are like “Oh no Wakas bhai whyyyyyyyyyyy” And i am like.. smiling and saying “I am sure you know why”

Wonderful Wakas
I think this is very very necessary N very important to do N focus on – as not many parents knows about these things N kids really missuse that situation – so when there is someone who knows about putting limits on net N save families from lot of trouble, I feel they gona get lots of prayers from the parents – kids gona of course get like “whyyyyy” but this is needed for their own good
At our place all my young bros got the administrator rights so there isn’t much I can do, though I wish I could, they aren’t actually like “kids” anymore I think – But I must say you’re doing a wonderful job Wakas
That’s the way it should be.
God bless – Infinity

@ tauqeer
Well depends on what type of router you have. Some routers have a function that lets you block “categories” such as gambling, warez, adult etc. While other router settings allow you to add names of sites that you might have seen in history log files of any young family members.
If you have a router try the most common address and see if it opens up http://10.0.0.1 or just search on google for the name of the router. Hope that helps.
