Twitter has become one of the most hyped about networks at this very moment. But what is it that makes twitter so unique and fun for you?
Are you one of those who tweets a lot or do you feel that it’s been given too much importance. I personally feel that twitter is a good product / service. And if used properly you can make lots of followers aware of what GOOD you are doing by suggesting them what you are upto.
What is a useful tweet:-
- Any service that you would use YOURSELF (not just for selling)
- Any nice positive thought that might make someone’s day brighter
What is NOT a useful tweet:-
- I am about to shower
- I just had my dinner
- I just combed my hair
YES.. there are few people who write like that. So make your followers PROUD that they are following you. You will be surprised that most follow you just so you can follow them. But be aware that when you start getting followers who are NOT interested in following you in the first place, then anything you “market” to them will make you sad and feel “ohh my product is that bad” But in reality what’s happening is that you are being followed by people who are not even interested in you or your services..

Tweeting is still a little hard for me to understand. I’ll get it eventually though.
Its great to know that positive thoughts and recommended services far outweigh tweets about when a persons taking a shower, etc. etc.

Hi rob, nice to have ya here. Well yah shower tweets are bit too personal I guess.. don’t serve any purpose unless one works in the soap industry and is telling someone they gonna try the new soap..

David here, a fellow student of Alex Jeffreys.
I am a keen Twitter user and try to tweet as often as I can per day, usually in blocks several times per day otherwise I’d never get anything else done!
I try to add value with my Twitter account but don’t think there’s anything wrong with the occasional “just had a shower” tweet, everything in moderation I say!

Thx for commenting. Well yah true.. showering can sometimes trigger a tweet or two.. I might tweet sometime from there now that my sms tweets are working

I used to tweet a few times a week, sometimes a day, but have slowed down to tweeting when I update my blog and when I have anything special I want to let others know about.

Hey i am not tweeting as often as i like (busy,busy) but i try to make my tweets as useful as possible for the other twitters.I think twitter can be a very powerful tool if use correctly.

@Ronald, I second that. When I come across a great site, or tool, or anything of value, I will tweet it. That’s the beauty of Twitter – even if you don’t have time, usually you can manage to write 140 characters in a few seconds!

Hi Petra and Ronald, yes true.. I guess to tweet or not to tweet is different for everyone and on whatever time they choose, I find random tweeting more fun though.
