Kids really do need some limits and someone there to tell then the difference between right and wrong... otherwise I they grow up as insecure individuals. "Learn from your mistakes", isnt for a child.. its for adults. You cant expect a child or a kiddo (14-16 years) to do all wrong, to learn all right... cuz everyone isnt lucky enough to actually learn the right after wrong!!!! Parents should be friends with their kids, but that shouldnt take away their authority to actually say something when its going the wrong way.... And yeah, how common isnt it nowadays "I'm gonna call the police if you do this/say this!" ...Gosh!!!! Beating a child will only make the situation worse, cuz that hits their ego when they grow up... aap jitna maaro ghe, wo utna hi strong ho kar phir se uthe gha, and that is the time it really goes wrong!

Dua and best wishes :)

It's definitely the kind of environment which is set up at home. I feel the parents should have an authority and responsibility to correct their kids until they grown up as good humans.

This is eventually, a helping hand to improve the society with adorable teachings. Of course there should be some restrictions to the parents who only believe to beat and correct them with all reasons.

I believe One thing is for sure: beating kids doesn't help N can't be the solution to anything let go guidence to the right path. Sometimes when parents don't fulfill their duties N don't start with the "upbringing process" in like v v v early age of their kids, they will regret as then kids are gonna follow people pout side, their friends etc etc - N one have no guarntee whether they are lucky to find some decent good friends who will not lead them wrong, but this is something they won't understand at that very time as they are only "Kids".

Living here in this country I feel they only way of helping them out it to make a friendly bond with them, a connection that they also feel they really can trust N count on. You said it alright that one can't just sit N watch that their kids are gonna learn from their mistakes, but I think sometimes they need to learn from their own mistakes. We as elders can guide them, tell them right N wrong, give them examples of people who failed in every walk of their lives N who succeed, N what they did etc - but we can't live life for them, the final choice N decision is gonna be theirs N thats something we have to accept whether we like it or not hmm.

Thinking that putting fear in their hearts N beating them will help, is like comforting ourself with somethin that's not even there, because the more a parent beat a kid the more they will be filled with hate N not respect.
