Why do people smuggle drugs?

There are lots of reasons why someone would say they smuggle drugs. One of them main reasons being, “i want money” .
But is not having money anything worth killing someone over? I mean when people get into drug smuggling and then end up giving their packages and shipments to a network of drug dealers, what are they thinking? Is it healthy to have such thoughts when you stop thinking of humans as humans but only see them as Dollar notes?
A person who ends up selling or taking drugs with them to some other place just to get some extra cash for a new car, a new house or a new life for that matter is in no situation to be even called a human being because in result of this action millions of individuals will end up losing their life to this disgusting thing called drugs.
What kind of punishment do you think guys or gals should get who smuggle drugs? Should the government or authorities in all countries give a few weeks or a month in order to get all info about the people behind it instead of just hanging them to death like China did to a guy from UK few weeks ago?

Hey there buddy.
People smuggle drugs because drugs are illegal thus making it very lucrative.
Legalize drugs and it wont be.

Very unfortunate that this happens – as for punishment hmmm, I don’t know what to say about that but yes for sure there should be somethin that can keep people from doin such “buisness” – Every life is v precious.

I guess things smuggled because they are ban–hence it is happenin!
!!
USA had to remove 18th amendment with banned alcohol
that was more crime and more smuggling thn ever was seen! they removed the law and now the crime rated decreased!
soo i guess make it legal! it is choice of pple who want to tke or not!
if i want to tke it ill find a way legal or illegal way if i dnt want if someone gives me legally i wont tke it! it is the choice we make! but unfortunately we get additive to it–thn it gets out of our control
