Facebook as an ad network?

I have been very much active when it comes to using the advertisement network on Facebook. The facebook ad network is an amazing tool if you want to reach just the target audience you wish to reach.

The kind of things you can do via facebook ad system is that you can choose users from which country should be allowed to see your ads, and if they have some affiliation with some company or are part of a group.

The rates are somewhat 10 cents and above and that is a good rate for any user coming to the site, especially if a product you sell is worth more than 10 dollars or so. But then again it depends on your landing page if your product can sell itself or is it just any other product that yourself won’t buy.

In order to have a successful campaign on facebook you have to choose the right audience. For example if you are promoting a seminar or concert in France, then promoting it to Pakistan would be quite a wrong choice. Same is when you are promoting products that you get commission for, if its a US product then ONLY choose USA in the target zone.

There are lots of networks you can use for affiliate products, clickbank.com is the best one I think. In clickbank you can earn 60% to more in sale commissions on ebooks.

How planning your day helps!

There might be lots of times in your life when you wondered why things aren’t going your way and why someone else is more successful than you.. right?

Well there are a few points you have to keep in mind when thinking in that pattern. Quite simple, are you someone who follows a plan or are you someone who just goes with the flow doing things as they come?

  • Do you check email atleast 10 or more times a day?
  • Do you plan to work on one part of your site or blog, but don’t stick to it?
  • Do you forget your meetings?
  • Do you spend way too much time chatting?

They say – A idiot with a plan will beat a genius without a plan -

How can you get on the track?

  • Note down your daily routine
  • Follow your daily routine to the dot!
  • Only do things that are productive (means less chatting)
  • Write down what you are to do tomorrow, next week, next month
  • Define your goals.

And remember that there is a far better chance you will do something if you write it down than if you don’t. Whenever you talk to someone and they say “Sorry can’t meet you tomorrow, my schedule is full”.. don’t feel bad at that point, just appreciate that someone is trying to manage their life.

There is no point in crying that you failed in something when you didn’t even plan to win :) So sit down and get over that habit of not planning your days.. you will thank yourself you did.

Which 3D software to use?

I have tried a lot of 3D software in the past few years. But somehow the software which I always end up “re-using” again and again is Cinema4D. Amazingly it’s probably the easiest to use software in my opinion. Other’s views might be different. But I myself started using Cinema4D without any training at all, the only thing I used to watch was tutorials on the net and got a few DVDs to make some example 3D models.

The way Cinema4D works is that you just create a few shapes and then adjust them according to how you want them to be shown in the work environment. And ofcourse the thing that you have a bit of design sense and like to explore your mind to the extreme does help.

If I could advice anyone who is NOT going to get into 3D professionally then start with Cinema4D, but when that’s said, there are lots of movies that have been created with affects done within Cinema4D. Most of the major films you see are either done in Maya.

Good luck :)
