It’s not about winning

I went to a Toastmaster Gathering in Oslo two days ago with a friend. Toastmaster is a community that’s International and they focus on making people better when it comes to public speaking and leadership. The experience was quite amazing. They focus on grammar, and the way a person stands and uses his body language. I along with a few others took the “Ice Breaker” option where we had to present ourselves in a few minutes, from 3 to 5 minutes. And at the end they had a voting among the few that were there.

My reviewer said that the body language I had was good and I was to the point, instead of saying “Hi all, my name is Wakas Mir” you could start with something else.. I feel it was a fun experience, and I would love to further this hobby of mine. So at the end they voted and I got the cute blue “best speaker” thingy.

When it comes to public speaking what about you guys, would you join any such community or you feel shy? See if you have Toastmasters in your area or start your own!

Dragging each other’s legs

Dragging each others legs is a common hobby in this world for lots of people. I have seen lots that have made it quite well both financially and other venues in life but what happens is that people tend to drag their legs in any possible chance they get. In the past few weeks I have managed to get some good hands-on experience in seeing people shift faces like anything.

In a company that was launched that was supposed to be leading in its own niche, just because of money being over values for a certain individuals thing just went way too sour. And POOF all went down the drain, a team of highly talented people back to the point where they were before.

When we all know that we won’t take anything with us in the grave, why do some keep on thinking of money over people?

What are your views on that? Do you feel that dragging other’s legs has become such a HUGE trend that everyone kind of follows it?

Money or values

When it comes to values in any possible way in a company or between friends what do you often see as the challenge? I mean do you look at the money and forget about values or do you look and feel the values and don’t pay any attention to the money.

What is more important to you since I have often seen people forget values despite knowing that they are on the wrong end of the path.

Have you been in a situation such as that?

Joint family system

I have done lots of shows about families and relationships on Crazefm.com and have come to one conclusion which most of you already know maybe. That living in a joint family system is something that not everyone can manage.

There are plus points and minuses, the plus points are usually not that many as the negative ones. A family where there is just one head of the family a mother or a father left that family usually can’t manage that well having all children under them, as I think. Reason being that everything comes under that one person, who is either the father in law or mother in law.

Situations usually end up being bad when they don’t realize that decisions they make affect everyone and decisions married couples make affect the whole family.

What do you think about joint families? Because as far as I know there is no such set rule that one has to live in a joint family to survive…
